Healing Touch

Hi, I live in a beautiful secluded wooded area in a Suburb West of Minneapolis, MN. I live in the  United States & I am a single mom of two.

 In my family of origin, I am the youngest of five children. I'm two minutes younger than my twin sister. I have two great kids, 12 & 14 and two dogs, Joey and Spooky.

 I have a personal blog called Stoopin It In The Suburbs.  My lifes' work and passion is facilitating trainings and educating women who have been in violent relationships.

 I have a masters degree in counseling and psychological services. I am a psychotherapist by trade. I facilitate groups on family violence and perpetration. I cover other topics such as, Why Do I Yell? How effective is your listening? Positive Parenting techniques, grief & Loss,communication skills and many more. I am a single mom and love my life.

 I live in a charming culdesac where all the neighbors connect and chat on the stoop which we call "Stoopin It". That is where the title of my blog originated. http://www.stoopinitinthesuburbs.blogspot.com/

I love dining at restaurants and giving food critiques.  I am a foodie and am involved in a network organization in the Twin Cities area called women who really cook. I will also be publishing or posting some recipes made and created by my daughter Ellie and I. One of MN celebs from Wcco radio food  critiquer and I work together bringing on guest chefs for our at risk kids at my work. This helps these youth learn a life lesson of cooking, how to handle food, and the social aspect of food. It is quite fulfilling to say the least.
